They also have career services and basically track and help you post grad too so it's worth it. (QB match and Gates scholar myself) I would add that it is helpful in case you ever transfer. My niece won the Gates Millennium and actually transferred to another school. Her Gates Millennium scholarship went with her. Got into Vassar and Grinnell with nearly full aid. I got waitlisted at UVA, Davidson and Washington & Lee. I'll probably end up at UT Austin since I have a full ride and they accepted me into the FRI. Didn't make it for Questbridge and really doubting myself. Please remove if this isn't allowed. I didn't make it as a QB finalist as the title suggests and it hurts since many many kids in my school who did got in. One of the biggest weakness of my application is my GPA at a very competitive high school (93/94).
Turns out I uploaded our taxes directly from our accountant and it had a digital signature. IDOC requires a hand written signature. I had to print out all the pages of our taxes, sign them and then scan them in to upload them to IDOC. I did that today and I'm hoping it will process on time. r/QuestBridge.

I've heard of kids with family incomes of over $200k a year getting matched. You'd have to have an outstanding application otherwise, but it's possible.
